Monument to the Unknown Artist - London
Sarner were commissioned by Greyworld, a group of artists to realise one of their urban art creation, The 'Monument to the Unknown Artist', is what at first glance looks like just another bronze statue but is in fact an animatronics.
Sarner worked with LifeFormations in the USA to create this unique animated sculpture which stands 3m tall and stands on a granite plinth of the same height. |

Climate Change Exhibition (Norsk BreMuseum) - Norway
Sarner have recently completed a turnkey design and build project for the Norsk BreMuseum in Fjearland Norway.
Sarner worked closely with the museums' staff and Professor Orheim to create a powerful design concept for this challenging subject and embarked upon the immense task of visually communicating the effects of climate change on us and our environment |

A Siberian Theme Park
A unique challenge for the Sarner team to design an all year round theme park in some of the world’s coldest and harshest weather. The park will cover some 40 hectares of land and will contain a mixture of indoor and outdoor rides. |

Interpreter system at Vidal Sassoon
Sarner recently supplied and installed an 8 channel 50 user infrared interpreter's system for Vidal Sassoon Academy in London. The interpreter's equipment, manufactured by Danish Interpretation System, is used by the saloon to accommodate the many foreign students that attend the internationally renowned training courses. |

Pirates 4D goes Digital
An original Sarner installation, Pirates 4D at Thorpe Park is a 500 seater 3D cinema that uses a mixture of special effects to create the 4th dimension. Two continuous loop film projectors had until recently been used to create the 3D image, however with advances in digital projection technology, Thorpe Park asked Sarner to put forward an alternative solution.
The new digital system uses two Barco 12,000 lumen projectors and two Alcorn McBride High Definition digital video players. The video signal is kept in the digital domain throughout producing an outstanding image that equals, and in a number of respects surpasses that produced by the old film projectors.

Colours of Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur - Colours of Malaysia is a month long celebration which opened in grand style showcasing Malaysia's varied cultural heritage. The spectacular opening event at the National Stadium was attended by more 30,000 visitors.
Sarner IXL, under the direction of Saifful Azhar were responsible for the night's lighting which culminated in a fireworks display. |

Lighting the British High Commission - Singapore
On the anniversary of the Queen's Birthday, Sarner provided the lighting, control and dimming equipment to illuminate the British High Commissioner's residence in Singapore.

Best Designers Award
For the second year running, Sarner have been awarded the 'Best Conceptual Design of Amusement,
Historical Centres and Museums", by RAAPA during their annual exhibition which is held in Moscow.

The
Passions
The Passions is an
exhibition by video artist Bill Viola currently
running at the London National Gallery. The
artist uses video technology to display his
works in various formats. Barco sponsored the
exhibition and supplied the video projectors
whilst Sarner installed the equipment. Sarner
are also providing round the clock back up maintenance
to ensure all equipment is in working order.

Sony CLIÉ
takes Control
The electronic giant recently approached
Sarner to interface control of their display,
video and audio system at their UK headquarters
in Weybridge using a personal digital assistant
(PDA) or laptop computer. This is the showcase
demonstration area for all their latest products.
Central to the system is
a Webdyn control unit which provides the link
between the software and control of the interfaced
equipment. With the networked Clie PDA, Sony
are able to control the audio and video source,
set audio and lighting levels and access the
many functions available on the interfaced equipment.

JCB Exhibition, Paris
Sarner designed and created a major
trade event for JCB in Paris. A Bond style
live experience JCB had decided to
change direction for their live events and looked
to Sarner to add a touch of magic. The Sarner
design team led by Mike Bennett produced the
event. A silver 3CX digger was the star of the
show, with full bond style weaponry it burst
with guns blazing from the diamond mine.
Bond girls, pyrotechnics and a
choreographed digger fight sequence, drew in
the crowds. A wide screen animated title sequence
and live action recorded added the big screen
glamour. |

Armavir, Russia
Sarner have recently signed a contract
to provide design and technical assistance in
the development of a theme park in Armavir in
the south of Russia. When completed, the project
will include water rides, restaurants, nightclubs
and a hotel. The first phase of the project
is scheduled to open late next year. |

Sarner
in Asia To continue to support
our worldwide client base and to explore new
markets, a subsidiary has been established in
Malaysia. The office will be run by Mr Saifful
Azhar who is well known in the industry and
has a number of years of experience. |

Science
and Technology
The Darwin Gallery
at the London Natural History Museum is now
complete and fully functioning. The gallery
opened late last year and is used twice daily
to perform live presentations to the general
public. Sarner provided their services to design
a leading edge audiovisual system using the
latest in video and audio technology. The Museum's
scientists are now able to use the system to
present to a local audience whilst the videoed
presentation is streamed in real time over the
internet.
The venue also received
a commendation during the Museum & Heritage
show 'Awards for Excellence', for the best use
of technology.

International
Astronomy and Space Centre Work
has commenced on the International Astronomy
Space Centre on the banks of the river Mersey.
IASC for short will introduce the visitor to
space and astronomy in an entertaining way using
many of the special effects and theatrical techniques
Sarner has become known for. The project is
expected to open to the public late 2004.

Digital
Projection at the National Gallery The
recently installed Barco R6 at the Sainsbury
Wing of the National Gallery has certainly left
an impact with both the client and Sarner's
engineers. The projector is several times brighter
than its predecessor and hails a host of inputs
including digital and HDTV. The image is projected
across a 5m screen from a distances of some
25m, using a long throw lens. |

Russian
Tsars Eagle Crown commissioned
Sarner to design a world class exhibition based
around four hundred artifacts from the Russian
Imperial Yachts, this remarkable collection
has never been seen outside St Petersburg.
The creative team at Sarner designed
a unique historical exhibition, using their
proven skills in dramatisation and theatrical
design. The exciting new concept successfully
combined the visual and scenic effects of theatre
with the display or over four hundred artifacts.

New
TV studio for Barnfield College Barnfield
college is the largest college in Bedfordshire
and Luton and has one of the best renowned Art
and Media courses in the area. The cost effective
solution proposed and installed by Sarner has
allowed the college to upgrade the studio and
include many of the facilities typically found
in broadcast installations. The new studio uses
an adjustable suspension lighting grid under
computer control. |

Light
& Sound in Malaysia Following
a request by IXL Projects of Malaysia, Sarner
designed, supplied, installed and programmed
an Alcorn McBride system to control the Sound
and Light show in Malacca. The old system required
a trained technician to run, whereas the new
system is fully automated and is triggered from
a single button.
Sarner are authorised distributors
for the full range of Alcorn McBride control,
audio and video equipment. Furthermore Sarner
can provide programming and design expertise
to assist you in building your system. We also
have in-house facilities for MPEG1 and MPEG2
encoding. Training sessions can also be organised
to enable users to program their own systems. |

Sarner
Exhibits at RAAPA - Moscow
Sarner have recently exhibited
at RAAPA, the specialist exhibition for Amusement
Parks and Attractions which was held in April.
Luda Sidorova and Lena Chernichka acted as our
Russian interpreters and manned the stand during
the duration of the exhibition.
On the occasion, Sarner was awarded
the best Conceptual Design of Amusement and
Historical Centres and Museums by the organisers
of the exhibition.
