Bailey's Icon Centre - Dublin, Ireland
Located within a $23 million development in Leopardstown, Dublin, Sarner has created a unique theatrical, multimedia experience called ICON for international drinks company Baileys. ICON takes visitors on a journey during which they learn about Irish landscapes, myths, legends and people, culminating in an understanding of the history that created Baileys.
The internal architecture covers 20,000ft in total and was designed specifically by Sarner to house the stunning scenic and AV effects, which include: the largest bar in Ireland, a cascading waterfall and stream, a working mill building, an external street scene with real gas lamps and cobble stones, a multi-arched brick vault and a classical library. The centre seats 650 people, has three separate bar areas and five food acts, each within their own environment.
Director of Baileys, Peter O'Connor, said: "We wanted to create an atmosphere that would bring the spirit of Ireland and the Baileys story to life. To achieve this the creative team at Sarner has pushed the boundaries of a theatrical environment, combining the magic and entertainment of the theatre with an eating and drinking experience".
